Summer will be here before we know it, which means the job markets are starting to heat up. People are checking their outdoor appliances, many of which will be needing a quick tune-up. So, appliance repair services are going to be getting swamped.
We are seeing that in the job postings, as more and more companies are posting open positions and tagging them with “urgent hiring†because they need people ASAP. They are the listings we are going to concentrate on today.
Appliance Repair Technician
Conn’s Home Plus
Dallas-Fort Worth
This full-time position offers between $45,000 and $85,000 per year. This is Monday through Friday job, which is not always easy to find in this industry.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of recent, professional appliance repair experience
- Experience repairing HE washers and dryers, refrigerators, and gas and electric stoves is required
- Outstanding diagnostic/problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain service records and parts inventory
- HVAC/EPA/Sealed System certification is required/preferred
- Must be able to drive the designated Conn’s vehicle and be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time while transporting from one location to the next
- Capable of ascending/descending flight(s) of stairs
- Overall ability to move/position product weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance
- Must be able to occasionally work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment and outdoor conditions
- Pass a post-offer, pre-employment background, drug test and physical assessment
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Full time schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, with overtime as needed

This is a community job, and you will need other experience besides appliance repair, but these jobs are pretty cushy compared to the grind in other companies. This particular job does require HVAC experience. It is a full-time position that is starting at $28 to $21 per hour.

- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a valid social security card
- Must be able to pass a background check. No Felonies!
