Seeking a Full-Time Service Manager to join our team!
Landers Appliance is a small, family-owned business that has been providing appliance service and sales in the greater Baltimore region for nearly 40 years! We are founded on being “Honest, Reasonable, & Reliable” and have built a culture that is lived out by every employee on every customer interaction.
The Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership to our service technicians and installation staff in order to promote and inspire the company vision.
Qualifications:– Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check – Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record – Mechanical and technical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, etc. – Experience in managing/supervising and conducting training with staff – Ability to embrace and promote the company vision through team meetings and 1:1s.
Responsibilities:– Position summary: This position is responsible for providing managerial oversight to Appliance Technicians and Installers. – Essential functions of the job include: o Developing and conducting technical training programs o Utilizing performance reports to determine and correct areas of improvement for staff o Researching service/staff related customer issues and determining appropriate resolutions o Providing technical advice based on manufacturer recommendations, service pointers, manuals, etc. o Managing employee training and use of company practices such as GLEEPS, SD-Mobile, MPH Diagnostics, etc. o Hiring/Firing of technician and installation staff o Completing quarterly and/or yearly performance reviews
