They do want three years of experience, which would be the only drawback to those of you just getting out of the academy. You would also need a driver’s license and Sealed Coolant Systems experience.

This is a position where you would have to have a bit more of rounded experience on your resume, but the pay is good ($22-$25 per hour) and it is a brand-new listing. In addition to appliance repair, they would like to see plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical experience. Basically, a handyman on steroids. This is perfect for you if you were a general contractor and just took the academy course.

The listing has been upgraded to “urgent,†so there is going to be room to play here. Position is currently starting at $17 per hour.

The opening salary is not great, starting at $33,500, but this is a property job, so you are not going to be killing yourself. This could be ideal for someone with some light handyman experience that is just starting out in appliance repair. The certification here will surely put you head and shoulders above any competition.
